After growing slowly over the first decade, the festival has burst onto the metro music scene over the past few years. Local news outlets have called it “One of the most popular music events in Mississippi.”<\/p>\n

The event has gained a reputation as one of the best family-friendly music events in the state \u2013\u00a0and the only music festival in the Jackson metro area dedicated exclusively to jazz!<\/p>\n

Our formula is simple: offer a full spectrum of jazz artists (from national recording artists to local up-and-coming professionals and students) in a safe, clean environment, all for the low, low price of\u00a0FREE!<\/strong>\u00a0That’s right: our festival is free to the public (thanks to the contributions of our wonderful corporate sponsors, like title sponsor\u00a0Morgan White Group<\/a>).<\/p>\n

2024 LINEUP<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year’s lineup features an incredible mix of local and national talent, with a diversity of styles and sounds that will make the entire day a “can’t miss” event! It will kick off at 11:00 a.m. and run through the parade finale at 7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Donald Harrison Quartet<\/strong> – Legendary New Orleans “Big Chief” himself<\/p>\n

Antonia Bennett with special guest Jason Marsalis<\/strong>\u00a0 – The next generation from two iconic music families<\/p>\n

The Vamps<\/strong> – Perennial soul jazz favorites led by Barry Leach<\/p>\n

The Raphael Semmes Quartet with special guest Rhonda Richmond<\/strong> – Local legends teaming up with a soulful vocalist<\/p>\n

Southern Komfort Brass Band<\/strong> – Nawlins style street band with a Mississippi twist<\/p>\n

Jackson State University Jazz Ensemble<\/strong> – Featuring some of the same players from the Super Bowl<\/p>\n
